@Acroterion: I already know about this. Thanks though. (Note to self: Senction notices recived: 1, 2) (tJosve05a (c) 02:14, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
Sorry about the double notification, I didn't pick it up when I checked the last couple of months of archives. Acroterion (talk) 02:23, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
@Acroterion: Oh, different sanction-areas, so no harm. (tJosve05a (c) 02:24, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
<ec>According to the log, you haven't been officially notified: as we all know, Wikipedia isn't a bureaucracy, but in some areas it sure does resemble one. The templates all look the same, and I've been mistaken too. Happy editing! Acroterion (talk) 02:27, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
Miss Acroterion, the bureaucrats have sent a memo, in triplicate, for me to give to one Mr. Acroterion. You have been officially notified that there is no bureaucracy inside Wikipedia's establishment. Now, here is your receipt for your notification... and this is my receipt for your receipt. Mrs. Acroterion, if you wish to shed further scrutiny on this matter, you may inquire at Wikipedia's Ministry of Information. Bgwhite (talk) 07:01, 2 January 2015 (UTC)

WikiCup 2015 launch newsletter

Round one of the 2015 WikiCup has begun! So far we've had around 80 signups, which close on February 5. If you have not already signed up and want to do so, then you can add your name here. There have been changes to to several of the points scores for various categories, and the addition of Peer Reviews for the first time. These will work in the same manner as Good Article Reviews, and all of the changes are summarised here.

Remember that only the top 64 scoring competitors will make it through to the second round, and one of the new changes this year is that all scores must be claimed within two weeks of an article's promotion or appearance, so don't forget to add them to your submissions pages! If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAN, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages. Good luck! BGWHITE!

@Bgwhite: I have been on Wikipedia for over 5 years. I didn't get a 'happy wikibirthday', no card, no nothing! What world is this? (tJosve05a (c) 04:11, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

Hey, I sent you some paper and crayons so you could make your on birthday card, just like we have to assemble your furniture. I also tried to send you Jack Harkness, but my wife wasn't done playing with him. Blame her. Let's see, the only thing I can give you right now is a nice block. Of course, that would make other people happy, so it wouldn't make a good present. Happy Birthday!! Bgwhite (talk) 05:36, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

You should not have accepted this AfC submission. Our notability guideline WP:NASTRO is very clear on and was actually specifically designed for cases like this, to keep WP from getting overrun by completely mundane minor planets. I have therefore redirected it to the parent list, per the guideline. StringTheory11 (t • c) 19:33, 16 January 2015 (UTC)

Meh, was a judgement call. (Too many submissions, to little time to go hunt the entire wiki for notability guidelines on every subject. -_-
I however object to you redirecting it, you should revert yourself and AfD it instead (also per policy)! (tJosve05a (c) 20:02, 16 January 2015 (UTC)
That would be contrary to what the guideline says. To quote verbatim: "If an asteroid stub is found with a notability tag on it, and a good-faith search has been done to locate supporting references, then it is appropriate to redirect the stub to the appropriate List of... article". There are two things wrong with taking such an article to AfD: AfD isn't for proposing to redirect articles (no matter how much I think that should be changed, it isn't yet), and there is no need to bog down the already-backlogged AfD with articles which are incredibly obvious failures of the guideline, and which will surely end in redirect if sent there. Request on 23:42:13, 24 January 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Khushboo Salian

Hello Josveo5a,

Hope you are doing well. I work for Wildcraft and we've had a wikipedia page (Wildcraft) for years and i have been editing the article from the past 2 – 3 days. Today morning the article has been pulled out without any prior notification to fix any mistakes, hence i had created a new draft.

I have all the necessary permissions from wildcraft to use their logo as well as press releases. It would be really helpful if you can let me know what to change so that we can go live with the wikipedia article.

Would really appreciate all your effort as ive spent almost the entire day trying to figure out on how to get the article up again.

Best Regards Khushboo

Khushboo Salian (talk) 23:42, 24 January 2015 (UTC)

@Khushboo Salian:

I recommend you pop in to #wikipedia-en-help connect (just press connect, or read the disclaimer first) and have a chat with some of our other editors that can help you with your article more than I can. (tJosve05a (c) 23:50, 24 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi Josveo5a,

I have made edits and changed the articles based on feedbacks given by Huon, NotASpy and Howicus. The draft is awaiting review at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Wildcraft. Do let me know if its good to go live.

Huggle message

Hey Josve05a! You are receiving this message because you are subscribed at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Huggle/Members#Beta_testers

I have recently launched a new downloads for beta testers that contains nightly builds of huggle, eg. versions that are built every day from our master branch and contains latest huggle. These builds are currently provided only for Windows and Ubuntu. You can find them here: http://huggle.wmflabs.org/builds/

Please keep in mind that these don't have any automatic updates and if you download and start using nightly build, you will need to update it yourself! So don't get yourself to running old version, it's possible to install both stable and nightly huggle, which is what I suggest.

Keep the bug reports coming to phabricator: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/maniphest/task/create/?projects=Huggle Many thanks! Petrb (talk) 09:52, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

I'd like to know specifically which parts of my article you found to be copyrighted. To the best of my knowledge none of it is. I also need the article restored so that I edit it. I'd like to know specifically which parts of my article you found to be copyrighted. To the best of my knowledge none of it is so I'd like to specifically what you found to be in error so that I can address those specific parts. Unfortunately, the article is no longer there. Why would you delete something that was in my sandbox and not yet public? I have no way of editing the article now. Can you please a) restore my article, and b) tell me with specificity where the copyright violations are?

Blue Geodesics

Hi, I have submitted a page "Blue Geodesics" for creation by error... This page was rightly refused on lack of notability! Rereading Wikipedia rules I wish that this page be simply deleted. How should I proceed to have that done? Thanks in advance Jdl2011 (talk) 16:15, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

@Jdl2011: Just place {{G7}} at the top of the page. (tJosve05a (c) 16:17, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

Request on 06:06:38, 31 January 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Thaiso

I have had the article submitted rejected for copyright reasons and just wish to explain that I was supplied information with permission to use to put this article together. If this is breaching copyright then apologies but it is with permission - what do you need in writing to sort out. Or do I need to re-write the whole thing and paraphrase where necessary? If you can advise please. We are keen to get information up on Wikipedia on this subject as it is an important one. Cheers Sharon (AKA Thaiso)

Thaiso (talk) 06:06, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

My last message didn't seem to go through. I really would like to get this article up and if there's a copyright issue how do I sort it. I was provided information with permission to use as my source information - plus references. If I need to further reference or information please let me know. Just being rejected without edits is somewhat discouraging as a great deal of work was put into the page. Cheers Sharon (AKA Thaiso)
