Disambiguation
[edit]Hi,
I've removed the disambiguation entries you added (often called hatnotes). See WP:NOHAT for an explanation of why they are not needed on those article. Cheers! -- Whpq (talk) 21:24, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Ok @Whpq: , seeing your profile it seem you know what you're doing, so if it's not much trouble 2 small doubts.
- 1 Since the disambiguation to pachinko has all 3 pachink related pages, shouldn't they have links to it as well?
- 2 The reason I did the edits was because the series pops up much above on Google than the game, so, If no link is given to disambiguation, should I add a "For the japanes game see..."?
- Thanks for your time. JustAJavaProgrammer (talk) 21:34, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Disambiguation and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Disambiguation pages will explain a lot. The short answer is that any pages that have a disambiguator in the title (those are the ones with a term in parentheses) does not need a hatnote. Aa for Google, we don't fiddle around to conform to what Google is doing. Search results may change at over time, or even from person to person as we don't know what algorithm Google uses to order its search results. In any case, the fact that the article tile as "TV series" in it makes it obvious what the article is about when searching on Google. -- Whpq (talk) 22:03, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Understood, thank you for the clarification. JustAJavaProgrammer (talk) 22:26, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
