Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Thank you for contributing edits that were made in good faith, but have been deemed not to contribute positively to the article. These edits have thus been reverted. Wikipedia's page on unacceptable additions may explain why. If you'd like to experiment with the syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

Some good links for newcomers are:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. If you need help, check out the Teahouse, ask the Help Desk, or place {{Help me}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Once again, welcome! Schazjmd (talk) 14:03, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Schazjmd, thank you for update. Can you please update what all edits are reverted or is it all the edits made by me till now is reverted.
It would be of great help if you mention that what are the reasons behind these edits being reverted. Kajalrai41997 (talk) 14:24, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You can look at your contributions to see your edits; there will be a reverted tag for any that have been undone. If you see that an edit has been reverted, you can look at the edit history of the article to see the edit summary for the revert. In the case of your edit to Lindsey Stirling, you added text to a ref that wasn't formatted correctly. You changed
url=https://concord.com/concord-news/lindsey-stirling-releases-expanded-version-of-warmer-in-the-winter-deluxe-edition
to
url=https://concord.com/concord-news/lindsey-stirling-releases-expanded-version-of-warmer-in-the-winter-deluxe-edition/cite web|url= https://concord.com/artist/lindsey-stirling/
Hope that helps! Schazjmd (talk) 15:47, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Inserting external links in the body of the article

[edit]

Thank you for your good faith contributions to WP. However, I noticed that you have been replacing valid internal wikilinks in articles with external links, for example at Jazzmeia Horn and Allison Russell. Wikipedia policy discourages this, stating at WP:EL: "With rare exceptions, external links should not be used in the body of an article." I have fixed these two articles, but you should go back to others you have edited in recent days and either restore the text/wikilink (like I did at Allison Russell because there were already several existing refs to support the claim) or make a reference out of the external link (like I did at Jazzmeia Horn). And please do not continue to make those kinds of edits in other articles. Thanks. NOLA1982 (talk) 13:53, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sure i will take care of that. Kajalrai41997 (talk) 13:13, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Similarly, on this article and any other article, as NOLA1982 explained above. I reverted it there. My edit summary messed up the link to the WP guideline I included, please refer to MOS:LINK. Lapadite (talk) 14:06, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
