Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. [edit]

Hi there. Did you take this image yourself or did you copy it from here? mgiganteus1 (talk) 17:25, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Dionaea muscipula 'Fused Tooth', and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Venus Flytrap. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit that you made to the page Dionaea muscipula 'Wacky Traps' has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Dionaea cultivar photos

[edit]

Hi, there! Thanks for taking the time to improve the encyclopedia by adding some relevant carnivorous plant cultivars. I just wanted to pop by and mention a few things:

  1. Unless explicitly stated, all images you find on the internet are copyrighted and cannot be uploaded, unless you are the person who took the photo. The images you've uploaded so far were by Bob Ziemer and Miroslav Srba.
  2. I've also noticed that some of the text you've used in your new articles has also been copy & paste jobs from websites. This is strongly forbidden unless the text is in the public domain. All text is assumed to be copyrighted unless otherwise stated and Wikipedia cannot accept such contributions. Write in your own words using those websites (as long as they're reliable sources) as references and not source of sentences and phrases.
  3. Please let me know if I can help you understand Wikipedia policy or guidelines in any way.

Cheers, Rkitko (talk) 21:43, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, again. I must insist you reply and acknowledge that you understand what I said above. You uploaded another stolen image, File:Vft fuse tooth - TS.jpg, which was lifted from the following copyrighted website: [1]. The text you used in the new article Dionaea muscipula 'Fused Tooth' was also lifted directly from the CP database, which you acknowledged, but this is still not acceptable. Please reply and acknowledge you understand these provisions that are not just Wikipedia policy, but the law. Further copyright violations will result in your account being blocked. Rkitko (talk) 23:16, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]

You have been blocked for 3 hours because of your recent and repeated activity of uploading copyrighted images that you do not own and using copyright text from other websites. Your contributions are welcome, but Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted work of others. You received several warnings on these points above, but did not respond or acknowledge that you understand Wikipedia's copyright policies. Please acknowledge now and I can lift the block. You may also appeal to another administrator by using the {{unblock}} template. You can edit this page and respond here if you'd like. Cheers, Rkitko (talk) 00:25, 29 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:100 1782PPAND.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Image Screening Bot (talk) 02:06, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
