Your submission at Articles for creation

[edit]

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Ralph Waldo Tyler (1860-1921). Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>

== References ==

{{reflist}}

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat chanel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

Hi Karenfaye56. At your submission, I did some cleanup and copyediting and added some links at the bottom for further reading. The references you added are still there. Cheers, Goodvac (talk) 00:30, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I read your feedback. You are absolutely right in the point that articles need inbound links to be more visible. In Wikipedia, there is WP: WikiProject Orphanage those task is exactly creating such links. Ask for help there, I hope, they will help you.

More concrete: since the article Booker T. Washington currently does not mention such man as Ralph Waldo Tyler, a preferred way to create a link from the former to the latter is to edit the former article and to add a text which mentions Ralph Waldo Tyler. Very helpful. Thanks Incnis Mrsi!

Changing username

[edit]

Hello, I read your feedback where you expressed a desire to change your username. To do this, you will need to go to this page and follow the instructions. FYI, if the username you desire changing to is your real name, you might find it helpful to read WP:REALNAME before doing so. Regards.--JayJasper (talk) 21:36, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you!

Yes, I am aware of the implications of using a real name and feel that there is nothing controversial in the article thus I wish to use my real name. Thx

Sounds good. Best regards. NTox · talk 08:23, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned article

[edit]

Hello,

The article I created "Ralph Waldo Tyler", was orphaned by Ser Amantio di Nicolao who states that there are no links to the article. However, as per other articles on wikipedia, there are links in the "Further reading" section. What do I need to get this "orphan" message removed from the page? Thank you. Karenfaye56 (talk) 10:56, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"Orphan" means that few or no articles within Wikipedia link to an article. Currently there is only one article - Booker T. Washington - linking to the article in question. (See here for more information.) Articles on other websites don't count to the total. The best way to remove the template is to add links to the article to other articles on Wikipedia. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 16:42, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unorphaning "Ralph Waldo Tyler" article

[edit]

Hello, an editor orphaned the article I created entitled "Ralph Waldo Tyler". The problem, he says, is that I was not linked to any other wikipedia article. So I added verifiable information on Tyler to the "Emmett Jay Scott" and created a link from the Tyler article to the Scott article. Is this all I need to do I want to get feed back from another editor on wikipedia before I "undo" the original editor's orphaning. Thx — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karenfaye56 (talkcontribs) 17:59, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Seminole Music article seriously needs editing assistance

[edit]

Hello I recently have added content and editing changes to Seminole Music but much as I try I can't figure how to correctly add to the reference section. My other edits (notes and content) may need checking too. If some kind experienced Wiki editor can help me out I'd be greatly appreciative.
