Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Kcavendish, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need personal help ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page. Again, welcome.  Schazjmd (talk) 17:14, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add external URLs to the body of articles. For sources, this guide will help you learn how to format them as references. Schazjmd (talk) 17:31, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

New Vista Capital

[edit]

I noticed that all of your edits involve including mentions of New Vista Capital. Are you connected to that company in any way? Schazjmd (talk) 17:34, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

After your most recent edit, I suspect that you are editing on behalf of New Vista Capital or on behalf of individuals associated with that company. Wikipedia has guidance for editors with a conflict-of-interest and for editors who are paid for their edits. I will add a template below so you can read and follow the guidance for conflict-of-interest. Also, please read and comply with WP:UPE, if applicable. Schazjmd (talk) 17:45, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are correct, I am an intern at New Vista. We noticed that a few of our advisors do not have linkedin profiles and therefore wanted to make sure that their bios were updated. I tried to cite every addition I made, so that it was biased or unfounded. Kcavendish (talk) 21:51, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. The links and advice below definitely apply to your situation, so please read them. The best way to make changes to articles related to New Vista is to make an edit request on the article's talk page: clearly state the content that you think should be added or changed and include the source to support the change. Other editors will review the request and make the edit if it meets Wikipedia guidelines.
Your attempt to remove negative information at Dennis Muilenburg was inappropriate. If you think that it's not properly sourced or not significant enough to include, you can make that argument on the article's talk page and see if you can reach consensus with other editors. If you have any questions, you can ask me here (I'll watch this page) or you can post at WP:TEAHOUSE where you can get advice from other editors. Schazjmd (talk) 22:20, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
