Speedy deletion of Colorado State Highway 21
[edit]A tag has been placed on Colorado State Highway 21 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. chrylis (talk) 03:30, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of That's So Raven (Season 1)
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article That's So Raven (Season 1), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Unused copy of portions of List of That's So Raven episodes.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Interstate 70 in Colorado
[edit]LabridorLover, Thank you for your efforts in cleaning up the Interstate 70 in Colorado. I am slowly working on getting the article up to Featured Article standards. I appreciate the help you've given to cleaning up the Major Intersections list. Just so you know, the change to have a single entry for Denver in both the city and county column was deliberate. The unwritten rule with the U.S. Roads Wikiproject is to combine the entry in the city and county column for cities that are consolidated municipalities (i.e. the City is also it's own county), such as Denver, Carson City, Nevada and San Francisco, California. However, the rule is to keep them separate, when a city and county have the same name, but are two separate entities on paper, such as Sacramento, California or Salt Lake City, Utah. For examples of other roads where this is done see:
- Interstate 80 in California (passes through San Francisco and Sacramento, an example of each)
- U.S. Route 101 in California (San Francisco)
- U.S. Route 50 in Nevada - Carson City
- U.S. Route 395 in Nevada - Carson City
- Interstate 70 in Missouri - Saint Louis is also an independent city
As such I would argue we should keep the Colorado articles consistent with what others have done. Thanks again for your help.Dave (talk) 01:08, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Denver
[edit]Please don't make major page moves unless there is a consensus to do so. The city of Denver is the most common usage of the term, which is why the city's article is currently at Denver. OhNoitsJamie Talk 23:44, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Denver-Aurora-Broomfield, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area
[edit]The official United States Census Bureau designation for the Denver metropolitan area is the Denver-Aurora-Broomfield, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. Please see OMB Bulletin No. 09-01. Please do not redirect this to another article. Yours aye, Buaidh (talk) 14:42, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
Denver's name
[edit]Hi - Denver's official name is "The City and County of Denver". In general, article names are the most common name but the first sentence of an article uses the official name, and if the official name is substantially different from the common name typically includes a phrase like "commonly known as ...". See the example in WP:LEAD at [1]. -- Rick Block (talk) 14:53, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
- I changed the name to just Denver since the mention that is a city and county is mentioned several times in the first, second sections of the article. See: San Francisco. But, if im wrong sorry for the mix-up! LabradorLover456 (talk) 20:45, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
- Here's the version of the San Francisco article when it was last reviewed as a WP:featured article - [2]. It should also identify the topic by its official name. It's really no problem. I just thought I'd drop by and let you know why I changed it again. -- Rick Block (talk) 05:17, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
The article Southeastern Colorado has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unsourced and probably original research. It is obvious that the southeastern corner of the state could be called "southeastern Colorado," but there is no indication here that this term is in common use for the region defined in this article.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SPhilbrickT 00:52, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Cheyenne metropolitan area has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
So the main Cheyenne page is already talking about the Cheyenne metropolitan area. Not only that, one of the sentences say "...which encompasses all of Laramie County." The metropolitan area here only talks about Laramie County being the sole county in the metro. I propose that we merge this article into the main Cheyenne article or the Laramie County article.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
