[edit]Hello, I'm Gaelan. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Archie Williams High School, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Gaelan 💬✏️ 05:09, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
How am I supposed to re-add something I spent 30 minutes typing up but now has been deleted? Ladlads (talk) 05:58, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Ladlads: Wikipedia keeps a history of all changes to an article. The content I removed is right here for you to take and improve. (For future reference, you can get there by clicking "View history", near the edit button, above any article.) Adding, undoing, improving and re-adding changes is a very normal part of our process. (Note that that's different from edit warring, the practice of repeatedly changing an article back to the way you want, without any discussion or improvement. Please don't do that, you'll get banned.)
- Lastly, I should note that while we're all more than happy to get helpful and accurate content added to an article, edits like this won't score you any points. Gaelan 💬✏️ 06:10, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
I attempted to add multiple sources (History.com and the local paper) but Wikipedia told me they were both on the blacklist Ladlads (talk) 05:59, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
- If sources are on the blacklist, it's for good reason, often because we've found that we can't trust it to be reliable. You can generally see why at perennial sources; for History.com (aka the History Channel), the explanation there reads "Most editors consider The History Channel generally unreliable due to its poor reputation for accuracy and its tendency to broadcast programs that promote conspiracy theories."
