POV Commentary

[edit]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Markandey Katju. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you.

Hi Lanet303 I wish to say that I saw nothing wrong with your edits. User:Neelkamala is in my opinion unnecessarily giving you a warning message because of his own agenda. Soham321 (User talk:Soham321talk) —Preceding undated comment added 17:26, 7 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Soham321. Please do not try to praise or oppose any talk. Wikipedia is not a space for taking personal revenges. It is very apparent that your above posts are related to the edit war with Please refrain from the same.. Please refrain from the same. One of the edits made by this user violated the neutral point of view policy.--Mohit Singh (talk) 17:45, 7 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 20:17, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

India edits

[edit]

Hi Lanet303. I see that your edits at India have been reverted a few times. Perhaps as a new user you are not aware of our article rating system, but India has been extensively edited and reviewed and marked as a Featured Article--this means it is considered to be the highest quality of article on Wikipedia. Now, this does not mean that it cannot change--like any article, it is open for editing. However, there is a bit more deference than usual given to the default state of the article. In order to make a significant change, like the paragraph you're trying to add there, you need to show a clear consensus on the article's talk page. Until you can show that there is such a consensus, the page should be retained in its prior state. Please continue to engage in that discussion, but, as you do so, please keep in mind that one of the pillars of Wikipedia policy is WP:CIVIL, which requires that people interact civilly and work collaboratively for solutions. Some bubble tea for you!

[edit]

Relax Lanet303... I've observed what happened, while I try not to have any opinion on who is right or wrong here, I hope you realise every one here (well mostly) means well and nobody is against you or any other new user. I can understand your frustration at having your edits reverted but that doesn't mean it's the end; there are so many articles, which you will be interested in, that need your immediate attention. By doing that you will learn a lot and I hope this doesn't discourage you from editing here at Wikipedia. My best wishes, Ugog Nizdast (talk) 16:58, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
