Hello, Ldhiker, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Clifford S. Hardin, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

The article Clifford S. Hardin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:N.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Regarding your post at the Help Desk

[edit]

I've removed your post at WP:Help desk, because it contained copyright violations.

Do not copy and paste text from other sources onto this site.

It looked like you were trying to add more entries to the notable people entry in the Dothan, Alabama article. The best place to do that would be at Talk:Dothan, Alabama, not on the Help Desk. The Help Desk is for questions about how to use the site in general.

If we do not have articles about the people you were going to suggest, then they probably do not really qualify as notable by Wikipedia's standards.

"we"

[edit]

In this edit summary, you said "you will see that we belong there."

In other words, you admit you are Cliff Hardin.

Wikipedia is not used for self-promotion (see WP:NOTPROMO). Users are discouraged from editing in areas where they have a conflict of interest (see WP:COI). We also discourage users from trying to write autobiographies about themselves. Sorry, but you've come to the site for the wrong reasons.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ian.thomson (talk) 21:22, 28 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
In particular, the line "Narrow self-interest or promotion of themselves or their business" is why your account has been blocked. In order to be unblocked, you will need to explain how your actions so far have gone against our policies WP:COPYVIO, WP:NOTPROMO, and WP:COI; and how you will avoid violating those policies in the future. Or more simply, you are very likely to be unblocked if you promise to never try to add anything about Clifford or Carol Hardin to the Dothan, Alabama article (or to any other article about Alabama). Hello, Ldhiker. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Dothan".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Hhkohh (talk) 15:30, 6 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
