Motherhood penalty

Hi! I had to remove the content you added to the article on the motherhood penalty. My main reason for this is that the addition was US centric, which can be problematic because the article is supposed to be global in scale. Also, the Family Medical Leave Act isn't really a policy as it's an American labor law that impacts companies' leave policies, so be cautious of that. You may want to go a bit more general with this and say that some countries have laws in place to protect a parent's right to time off after the birth of a new child and that in some countries, the law covers parents of either gender.

I also wanted to comment on the Fairygodboss source. I'd recommend finding a different source because they do accept user submitted content and I'm not entirely sure of their editorial process. The article you used doesn't seem to be incorrect but it would be safer to find a more academic source. That's more of an aside though. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:11, 29 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
