Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Hello, Logicpuzzler. Welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your contributions. My name is Howicus, and I've been an editor here for some time. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

If you're working on creating a new article, you should take a look at this page on your first article, and use the article wizard here to get started. Also, this page has instructions on how to cite sources, complete with videos.

If all this Wikicode is a little overwhelming, this cheatsheet may help untangle it.

If you're looking for a tutorial of sorts, The Wikipedia Adventure is a good option.

And if you need more help, I'd recommend getting live help at the Wikipedia help chat channel: click here to join. Additionally, you could ask me on my talk page, try the Teahouse (a help page for new users) or click here to ask for help here on your talk page and a volunteer will visit you here shortly

Armstrong and Radford[edit]

Hi Logicpuzzler. Thanks for your edit to John Radford (footballer). The photo is a crop of this one. I guess there are two ways to read it; if you just go left to right it seems like they're saying Armstrong is the man on the far right, looking at the camera. But, I suppose they could mean that the man in the back is Armstrong and the man on the right is Sammets. How is it that you know that Armstrong is the guy in the back? I have supported Arsenal for over 50 years so I know the difference between Radford and Armstrong! Sitting down in the picture are (from the left) Jenkins, Furnell, Radford, Sammels. Armstrong is standing up behind.

simona halep[edit]

On 13 July I made an edit to the Wikipedia Simona Halep page by adding two Grand Slam Final appearances (French Open appearances in the Final in 2014 and 2017) that had been omitted in the Grand Slam history list on the right-hand side. However, these have not been changed. and I don't understand why.

The two French Open Final appearances are beyond dispute and are even described in the main text of the Wikipedia page. So why have the changes not been accepted?

My edit appears on the edit history as follows:-

Please help me with...

I think from the edit summary and the documentation at Template:Infobox_tennis_biography it is because the template only lists the BEST result. Ms Halep has since WON the French Open, so if my logic is correct her appearances as a losing finalist become obsolete.
If you want to clarify this further, please consult the editor who undid your change, or ask on Template talk:Infobox_tennis_biography or at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Tennis. --kingboyk (talk) 17:43, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
