Welcome![edit]

Hello, Lucyprince27, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Undisclosed paid editing[edit]

Perhaps you missed the thrust of the above message; I will reiterate. Under Wikipedia's terms of use, which you agreed to when you created an account here, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with regards to edits made as part of your job or for which you expect to receive compensation. Acceptable methods of disclosure are outlined in Wikipedia's paid-editing policy. If you continue to edit without addressing this issue, your account will be blocked from editing. Request reason:

@Yunshui: I was wondering if you could help me. I recently made an account to help Justin Packshaw make some changes to his Wikipedia page. Since making edits my account has been blocked due to 'undisclosed paid editing'. All the edits were genuine. Now when you go onto his page there is a box at the top saying 'this article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments'. Can you help me as to how to get this box removed and get my account unblocked as I was not being paid to edit.Lucyprince27 (talk) 13:07, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I cannot find where you disclosed your conflict of interest. Now that you know you shouldn't be writing about Justin Packshaw, you'll need to convince us you understand why your edits were inappropriate and tell us what you'll write about instead. Yamla (talk) 13:12, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I completely understand why I have been blocked. I believed that I only had to disclose my conflict of interest if I was being paid to edit, which is my mistake. I know Justin Packshaw personally and he wanted some help with editing a few things on his page - adding a photo, adding his university. This is why I made the account and I have only made these few edits on Justin Packshaw's profile which are all genuine. Is there anyway the box that appears on his page saying 'this article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments' can be removed as I was not being payed to edit. In the future I will not make any inappropriate edits and will make sure I disclose my conflict of interest. Lucyprince27 (talk) 14:47, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I find your above explanation deliberately misleading. I won't go into details to avoid WP:OUTING but will gladly provide the relevant evidence privately to any other admins considering to unblock this account. Huon (talk) 13:54, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
