Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Neil kinnock.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Neil kinnock.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:30, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. I just wondered if you'd consider letting me nominate you for adminship, as I think you're experienced enough. Thanks. Epbr123 (talk) 13:08, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Telefunken logo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Telefunken logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Image:Royle_Family.jpg

[edit]

I have tagged Image:Royle_Family.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. John F Kennedy Catholic School

[edit]

There's been some odd edits to the JFK article, 6th form humour - I think I've cleaned them out. As a fellow editor on Hemel topics, you might like to join me in keeping it in check - or preventing me being too "prissy". Ta. Folks at 137 (talk) 15:41, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have checked and rolled back to the SmackBot version of 5 December 2007 which seems to be the last sensible one. I'd say all your changes were fine. Lumos3 (talk) 17:07, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you put the historical houses box on the Oatlands page. This page has given me a problem for a while as it covers both the village / district and palace. So I made a new page Oatlands Palace and put your historical houses box on that. What I can't seem to do is to change the box to link to Oatlands Palace rather than Oatlands. Perhaps you know how to do it. Thanks SuzanneKn (talk) 19:31, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have done this and a little tidying of both articles. The Palaces template is at Template:Royal palaces in the United Kingdom‎ . Lumos3 (talk) 14:50, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A problem...

[edit]

Hi Lumos3,

We seem to have a problem in the psychohistory article, as you can see in the talk page.

Some editors have expressed their desire to remove the main content of this article and Early infanticidal childrearing, as you can see in their own user talk pages.

I hate to do wikilawyering in these cases and prefer to defer to other editors more knowledgeable of WP policies on these matters.

Thoughts?

Cesar Tort 00:47, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You seem to be doing a fine job of defending the articles. I will keep an eye on them and see it I can contribute.Lumos3 (talk) 09:37, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
