Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Magnovby! Thank you for your contributions. I am Orville1974 and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{help me}} at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Orville1974 (talk) 21:45, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi and welcome to Wikipedia! - I hope you like it here and decide to stick around. I don't know if you saw the response on the WP:Teahouse regarding your user page, but none of us have our user pages published in the mainspace. They're meant to stay in this userspace so we can write a little about ourselves as it relates to WIkipedia. This article will tell you more about user pages in general: Wikipedia:User pages. If you click on a few editors' names you come across, you'll see there is a wide variety of user pages, some full of personality, and some are rather drab (like mine User:Orville1974. Happy editing! Me again-your user page is where it's supposed to be now

[edit]

After leaving the welcome note and explanation about user pages above, I realised what you were talking about. I've moved your userpage from your sandbox to your actual user page. Go ahead, click on User:Magnovby to see it in all its glory.  :) Orville1974 (talk) 21:58, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you!!

Wow! Thank you. I'm sure you have to deal with newbs all the time. I appreciate it and I hope I get the hang of it soon! Inside Wiki is a lot more overwhelming than I anticipated, but I suppose it's because of people like you that it's able to be so useful! --Magnovby (talk) 22:57, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There is a steep learning curve, but I really enjoy the place. There's a lot to remember; that's why I have a list of shortcuts on my userpage (I use it all the time as a quick cheat sheet). Orville1974 (talk) 23:25, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Researchamerica, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
