Happy New Year!
Hello Mann Mann:

Did you know ... that back in 1885, Wikipedia editors wrote Good Articles with axes, hammers and chisels?

Thank you for your contributions to this encyclopedia using 21st century technology. I hope you don't get any unnecessary blisters.

FYI

[1] Double spaces in the article code don't show up in the displayed article, so they don't really need to be changed. It would be considered an "inconsequential edit" in AWB unless done with other edits. Gimmetrow 02:50, 5 January 2023 (UTC)

@Gimmetrow: I was not aware of it. Thanks for the info and notifying me. --Mann Mann (talk) 02:59, 5 January 2023 (UTC)

Lacey Evans

Respectfully noticed that her awards did not match up with her combat experience any particular reason why? 2600:1004:B252:8CCC:1428:2DFF:FE5C:A011 (talk) 21:54, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

Hi. Discuss your concerns on Talk:Lacey Evans. Also, writing an edit summary would be helpful next time. --Mann Mann (talk) 07:42, 10 June 2023 (UTC)

Partial follow-up AfD

Hi, because you recently participated in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Turkic dynasties and countries, which also led to the deletion of Comparison of the Turkic states, I would like to invite you to participate in the partial follow-up Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Comparison of the Baltic states. The situation of these three pages is not exactly the same (because language family plays no role in these cases), but because many issues are similar, I've nominated them as well, and am curious what you think. Cheers, Nederlandse Leeuw (talk) 08:32, 12 June 2023 (UTC)

Hey Mann Mann. I did a deep dive into the article and had suggestions. Overall, it's in pretty good shape, especially with sourcing, so great job on that. The only source I would replace is the Metro interview. The publication is unreliable per WP:RSP, so my personal position is that while the interview itself contains a claim that warrants inclusion, the source should not be given weight. My recommendation is to find another secondary source that regurgitates the content of that interview, such as this Fightful article, to support the claim. You could also cite this WON piece to add a claim about Perez's specific experiences in the mental health area, such as depression.

I don't see any reliable secondary source that verifies the birth date, so that material (and the tweet supporting it) should be removed per WP:BLPPRIVACY. I get that it's common for birth dates without appropriate sourcing to be left in articles, but that would not meet GA standards (in addition to being a violation of the BLP policy).

The lead, style, and other media sections look good. Obviously, they'll see expansions once more material is published, but at this time, they seem sufficient. The indies section also looks solid. The only suggestion I have here is to put the ROW abbreviation after the first mention of Reality of Wrestling to clarify the subsequent claims.

The WWE section needs some work. There are some claims that seem unnecessary and read week-by-week. Other claims would benefit from some simplifying. Some examples:

  • "as a result, WWE then recognized Perez as continuing to hold the titles by herself" In hindsight, this was pretty inconsequential, so I'd simplify and just say the tag title was eventually vacated.
  • "On the October 4 episode of NXT, a Weapons Wild match was set between Jade and Perez on Halloween Havoc." Not necessary since we read about the match happening later in the paragraph.
  • "where she picked Raquel Rodriguez as Jade's opponent" Not necessary since it has more to do with Jade's career than Perez's.
  • "At Deadline, Perez won" This should be the beginning of a new paragraph rather than the conclusion to an existing one.
  • "On the April 18 episode of NXT, after Perez won a match against Stark, Hartwell challenged Perez to a title match, but Stratton interrupted, leading to a triple threat match for the title at Spring Breakin', where Perez failed to win the title." The TV match doesn't seem necessary. I'd remove that and only include the triple threat match for the title.
  • "She made her WWE Main Event debut match" Remove. Main Event is almost entirely inconsequential.
  • "After the match, she was attacked by a masked woman. The following episode, Blair Davenport revealed herself as the mystery attacker." This is one of the sentences that would benefit from simpler phrasing. We don't always need to specify which event occurred on which episode. I'd argue that most times, the exact date is also unnecessary, which is why a lot of times I only write "In [month] [year]". Something like "After the match, a masked woman, later revealed to be Blair Davenport, attacked her" would be better for readability.

I hope all of this helps. Please feel free to ask me to clarify anything you'd like in case I created any confusion. Again, great job, and good luck! KyleJoantalk 03:03, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

@KyleJoan: Sorry for late reply. Good points and thanks for your review. Are you interested in applying your suggestions by yourself? That would be really helpful. I'd like to continue editing the article after your suggested revision. --Mann Mann (talk) 05:32, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
I'm not looking to increase the time I spend engaging with the professional wrestling topic, so I'd rather not edit that article, especially in a major way. I hope you understand. KyleJoantalk 08:06, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
