Usually, Britannica is RS, but if they put ? then they don't know for sure. Maybe the date is uncertain (then the article should state so, this is not the first case on WP), but maybe not. Marina High School

I have no idea why you keep reverting my article because it has accurately stated sources and is non-biased. You keep deleting my section of Marina High School for some reason and label it has "vandalism". Show me where I am vandalizing that article or am unbiased and I will change it. Well, if you lived so close to the school, then you would know that everything written there is PROVEN with facts. Check my sources if you don't believe me. Ask the school itself. Ask former alumni or residents of that school. I am a former alumni of both Marina High School and Edison. I attended Edison by freshmen and sophomore years, while at Marina I finished up my education. My experiences there, as well as other students experiences, have experienced the amount of drugs dealt around Edison and Marina. As I have been to both schools, I can evaluate how much drugs are being traded and used. If I give Marina a bad name, it is not because I made stuff up, it is because it is the truth. My two nephews goes to Marina and they have told me a lot about how the school has changed over the years and how they know so many people who do drugs. Maybe other articles dealing with schools you edit do not wish to tell the truth about schools or either have people who delete them stating the article to be biased. My page is not an "attack page" because it merely states the truth of the school, and not my opinions. Everything there is backed by cold, hard facts to which if you want to check you can. I respect your decision to change the article, but you must understand the basis behind it. If you were or are an alumni of any of the Huntington Beach Union School District high schools and knew everyone around you, you would no doubt be aware of the ASTOUNDING amounts of people doing drugs around you. This is not merely backed by me, but by polls done by independent sources as well as the school. Like you said EVERY school has locker theft and graffiti problems. But I don't have the TIME or experience with other schools to have right articles on EVERY school. You think I am "damning the entire California school system" but that is untrue. I am merely stating what Marina is like. Isn't an encyclopedia supposed to have the TRUTH? Just because the article is negative does not mean it is biased. If you say a 350% increase in TRUTH is bad, then what happens if someone else put in 350% increase of information telling why Marina is good. They are both the truth and if a person put in 350% worth of information that is positive would you edit that and tell them that it is biased? I don't have the time to put in the positives of Marina High School. If someone did that, in equal proportions with my work would that balance it out and then make it an article that suits you? You criticize people for being negative, but the negativity is only part of the school. There are many great aspects of Marina that I simply don't have the time to write. I focus on the negativity because it is what I have the most experience in. So in response to me writing a negative comment about one school, you then expect me to write an article about EVERY school in California and how they deal with drug and other problems? My goal is not to show you why California schools are bad, my goal is to inform people on Marina High School. If everyone had the desire to do this, then other articles would be much more like this one and then you would have no problem with it. Is it not right to start something new in school articles? If encyclopedias included ALL positives then it would be biased and would people delete them? I don't think so. So, if you want to write a whole article on Drugs and Thefts in California Schools be my guest, cause I don't see people who just write about a certain school all of a sudden do the same thing for every other Wikipedia school page in that same state. 98.119.95.89 (talk) 06:58, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
