Hello, Masiemulley, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Stacy Makishi, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

Notice

The article Stacy Makishi has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Speedy deletion nomination of Stacy Makishi

[edit]

Hello Masiemulley,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Stacy Makishi for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Thank for email. You will appreciate that many biographies of living people are self-written, but I'm happy to accept your assurance on this.

Also read the following regarding writing an article

  • you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked her or her organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what she claims or interviewing her. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls. Some of your references, such as Artsadmin, seem inappropriate
  • You have devised your own referencing style, which is confusing to say the least. Your in-line links should go straight to the reference, not vis a bibliography. See Francis Willughby to see how book, journal and web pages should be referenced. You don't have to use the cite templates that I've used in that article, but it helps avoid mistakes.
  • you must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Yours looks promotional because you present opinions as facts. Artists don't have "critical reception", and we don't need to know what random people think of her work. The awards might be relevant, but they don't have links or references to show she won them or in which year. Also avoid stuff like The piece tackles mourning and paternal absence through the use of pop songs and religious imagery. which you present as a solid fact. I assume it's something she has claimed, so you need to make that clear. There are other places where you present opinions as fact
  • there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
  • you must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. You must also reply to the COI request above

I've seen worse, but it's not ready yet, particularly references the so I'll post a slightly modified version at Draft:Stacy Makishi shortly for you to work on Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:18, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Stacy Makishi

[edit]

Hello, Masiemulley. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Stacy Makishi".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! JMHamo (talk) 13:52, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
