[edit]

Hello, MatrixSpaceInc, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Draft:MatrixSpace, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Again, welcome! BangJan1999 21:58, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:MatrixSpace, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hi - I was going off these as examples:

Palantir Technologies

We don't need the whole url when you link to another Wikipedia article or page; simply place the target page title in double brackets, as I've done here(which you can see in the edit window). Beware in using other articles as a model for yours, as these too could be inappropriate and you would be unaware of this as a new user. Please see other stuff exists. As this is a volunteer project where people do what they can when they can, it is possible to get inappropriate content past us; we can only address what we know about. If you want to use other articles as a model or example, use those classified as good articles. 331dot (talk) 22:54, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi - I had simply added AI to anything I could cross reference in Wikipedia. That was all I did - not whole urls.
OK - but obviously the examples I saw all got through. I have seen many company pages so at what point is a company page deemed ok to include?
Thanks very much. MatrixSpaceInc (talk) 23:01, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your three links above were whole urls until I coverted them to proper internal links.
Companies merit articles(the preferred term, not the broader "page") if they receive significant coverage in independent reliable sources that chose on their own to provide it(not interviews, press releases, announcements of routine activities like the raising of capital), showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable company. Wikipedia is not interested in what a company says about itself, or in its routine activities, we want to know what others wholly unaffiliated with a company say is significant/important/influential about it. Your draft was entirely promotional and had no independent sources to support its content. 331dot (talk) 23:08, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 22:51, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
