[edit]Hello, I'm Eternal Shadow. I noticed that you recently removed content from Tuka (rapper) without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Tuka (rapper). Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Dam222 🌋 (talk) 07:47, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Tuka (rapper), you may be blocked from editing. Ashleyyoursmile! 08:32, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Tuka (rapper) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Hey guys, not sure if you saw my messages? Sorry, I’m the artist this wiki is about, I’m new here.
This is information about me being a victim of child abuse is flat out misleading and wrong.
Also Sone other information is cherry picked and irrelevant to my life’s work.
Can I please get rid of it?
It’s a very sensitive issue and the content staying up there is triggering fit me to have to deal with.
Please just let me delete some of it.
This is my life not yours?
TUKA (rapper) Matt Franis (talk) 20:29, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
- Subjects of articles do not own said articles. The paragraph about abuse is there because you (assuming you are who you claim to be) gave an interview to ABC in July 2020 discussing it. The info about your real name and origin is there because it is also on your Apple Music bio. Wikipedia summarises what reliable sources say about a subject. In any case, you have a conflict of interest and should not edit the article directly - propose changes on the talk page instead. SK2242 (talk) 22:05, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
So if I was to remove that information from my bio (my label did that). And get the triple j article removed, you guys would allow that information to be taken down of my profile?
This has been very traumatic for me and my mother. Thank you for literally being zero help and spreading false information about me.
To clear I do not identify as a child abuse victim. Matt Franis (talk) 22:45, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Further more, the “early life” opening line is complete hyperbole. At no point in that interview did I state I was abused. You guys are interpreting it that way which is actually really disturbing. Matt Franis (talk) 23:06, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
- Again, you can make your case for any changes on the article’s talk page and we’ll have a discussion on it. SK2242 (talk) 23:24, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
- Also in regards to what would happen if your personal info was removed from the sources, I would ask at the Teahouse help forum as I'm not entirely sure. SK2242 (talk) 23:29, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Matt Franis. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Tuka (rapper), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Ashleyyoursmile! 08:39, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

Sockpuppet investigation
[edit]An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Matt Franis, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
SK2242 (talk) 16:16, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
Hello. I'm an administrator on Wikipedia. Throwaway1994 recently edited an article that you're restricted from editing. By your username and edits, I'm guessing that you have some kind of external relationship with this editor. You should be aware that using multiple accounts to evade restrictions is disallowed and will only result in more restrictions (such as the article being locked down so that new users can't edit it). Recruiting friends, relatives, or other sympathetic people to make edits that you can't is known as proxying, and it's also disallowed. I realize that this is a lot more rules than you were probably expecting, but we do have ways for you (and other editors who have a conflict of interest on this article) to have your complaints heard. It's called dispute resolution. If you can't make any progress via these channels, all is still not lost. You can take the issue to our noticeboard for biographical articles, where the content can be removed if it's found to violate our policy on biographical articles. If all this is too complicated, please ask for help at our forum for new users. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 21:25, 15 February 2021 (UTC)
