Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. Response in regard to MOOC - link postings.

Dear Mean as custard,

this message is a response to the reversal of a MOOC posting I made. MOOCs are freely available/accessible. The content is highly relevant. Structurally, how does a link to a MOOC (or other online course) differ from a link to a scientific paper? or a newspaper article, a book?

This new format should be supported as it gets more and more important and is a valueable resource for further learning / reference. The MOOCs are produced by acclaimed professor of accredited universites. Please elaborate.
