Blocked
[edit]You have been blocked indefinitely from editing, as a result of this edit. If you have some reasonable explanation, please feel free to post it here. I shall leave your page on my watchlist. Alternatively, to get the attention of an uninvolved administrator, you can use the {{unblock}} template. You will find instructions for using that template appear on the screen when you try to edit. Request reason:
What??? That edit wasn't even me! I have no Idea how that came about, but I never made those edits.
Decline reason:
Please check your edit history - the edit was you and it was libel. You can see the edit here. — ---J.S (T/C/WRE) 02:15, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
I don't necessarily think that your account should remain blocked for ever, as it doesn't seem to be a vandalism-only account, but I think you need to offer some explanation for that edit. (And your previous edit was also objectionable.) Are you editing from home or from a public computer? Did you leave the computer unattended, while logged on? Have you ever shared your password with a friend? Is your password one that could be easily guessed? I didn't block you as a punishment, but simply to protect the encyclopaedia. And I think we need to know how this happened, if indeed it wasn't you, and what steps you have taken to ensure that it won't happen again. ElinorD (talk) 17:48, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- I'd like to see an explanation of this edit as well. - auburnpilot talk 21:42, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Per request above: Right, at the time those edits were made, I was indeed using a public computer, I think somehow, the IP's got mixed up in the servers, but now, I am at home, on my secure laptop. To prevent anything like this happening again, I have changed my password, and turned off the "Remember me" function. Meateater 06:43, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
You have been unblocked, and autoblocks have been cleared. ElinorD (talk) 17:03, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Helpme
[edit]What software can I download to monitor recent changes?
- Hi, Meateater. There's a long list of available options to be found at WP:CVU#Tools. Hopefully one of those will serve your needs. :) --Moonriddengirl 19:56, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to WikiProject Trains
[edit]Hello and welcome to the Trains WikiProject! Thank you for adding your name to our project membership list. Our goal is to build the most comprehensive and detailed guide to rail transport on Wikipedia. As a project member, you may add the project membership userbox to your user page if you wish.
If you haven't done so already, please add our main project page to your watchlist and take some time to review the Trains project manual of style where we have collected guidelines and suggestions on notability and style for a consistent representation of rail transport related material. If you're curious about where to start, we've gathered a few suggestions in the Trains project to do list. If you'd like to specialize in a particular area of study within rail transport, take a look at the current Trains project task forces.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the project talk page or on my talk page. Again, welcome and happy editing! Slambo (Speak) 14:22, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
