2020 California fires

[edit]

Meyers Fire (which you deleted) -- Yes...it is "part" of the LNU Lightning Complex, but that's just a technicality. The two fires aren't even in the same county (Meyers is on the 'far' side of Sonoma from the LNU fire in Napa). Doesn't make any sense to delete a major fire, as the intent of this article is to be informative -- and the Meyers Fire has grown from 50 acres to over 3,000 acres in two days. Moreover, some pretty substantial "LNU Lightning Complex" news/sources on the web don't even mention the Meyers Fire because it's nowhere close to the LNU fire. Your call...but I don't see how your edits are helping anyone. --104.15.130.191 (talk) 19:27, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted it because it would be redundant to have the Meyers Fire listed sperately, since the acerage from the Meyers Fire is already counted within the acerage for the LNU Lightning Complex Fire. You could add a note in the fire's desceription, or mention it in the LNU Lightning Complex Fire's page (since it has it's own). I get that's it's far away from the other fires within the complex, but it is grouped in with the other firs by Cal Fire, so that's what it has to be as. --MegaEarthquake (talk) 19:49, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
