Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Gnu distribution, without explaining the valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. To my fellow GNU user[edit]
Dear GNU user, you seem to engage in converting Wikipedia—the Wikipedians—to the standpoint of the GNU project. This is not wrong per se but you are doing it in a way which infringes the Wikiquette. If you think you see an error or even a systematically bias in Wikipedia, you are welcomed to correct it. Of course there can be oppositions. The GNU/Linux naming controversy is older than Wikipedia and was continued here from day one. Sadly the Linux fan boys won in the first instance. After there is a "consensus" one editor isn't allowed to make changes adverse to the consensus. First one must develop a new "consensus". This must be done on the talk pages of the articles or of project pages.
I want to allude that Wikipedia is not completely outside the real world. In fact it is all too close to the cruel reality. If you do diligent but mindless work on articles, you get a barnstar. But if you question the status quo—say move an article or delete a category—you will be attacked with all virtual means and maybe even threatened with legal means. I experienced it myself when I joined a discussion if Nazi symbols and flags of Nazi Germany should be censored in the German-speaking Wikipedia (despite I opposed the proposal). There are many cases of unjustly banned users. But if you don't comply with the policies you will be blocked for sure every time with any new account.
If you really can't stick to the terms you should not edit Wikipedia. Remember there is more in life. You could still try converting the people outside Wikipedia. There is no WP:3RR and WP:NOR. Good luck! --mms (talk) 00:53, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on gNewSense. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors.
