January 2024[edit]

Hello, I'm REDACTED403. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Andrew Lincoln seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -REDACTED403 (talk) 13:29, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you have also edited Serbian Wikipedia, so you must know that this is the English language Wikipedia. Obviously, therefore, the article Milutin Sladojević was unsuitable as an article for English Wikipedia. However, there are other reasons why it was unsuitable, which may be less obvious to a new editor. One of those reasons is that the article did not cite any sources; citations to reliable sources are essential for any article, both as evidence that the subject of the article satisfies Wikipedia's notability guidelines and so that the information can be verified, as we don't accept statements on the basis of no more evidence than the fact that someone who has chosen to create a Wikipedia account says so. However, the most important reason for the article being unsuitable is that it was promotional. It is not acceptable to post material which extols, praises, or promotes anyone or anything, including politicians and their careers. JBW (talk) 14:06, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
