Barev

[edit]

I'm very glad to have another fellow Armenian on wikipedia! A lot of the articles on wikipedia relating to Armenia and it's people/history need to be expanded. I think if we work together we can get the job done. If you have any questions just ask me. BTW: How well can you speak Armenian?--Moosh88 18:25, 14 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings

Help?

[edit]

If you need help with any articles let me know. BTW: I saw your post on the talk page of the Yerevan article and I can help with the history section.--Moosh88 18:13, 21 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Republic Square Yerevan.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, so its copyright status is therefore unclear. Please add a tag to let us know its copyright status. (If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Alr 18:47, 2 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Note also that it is no longer permitted to upload "used with permission" images to Wikipedia.

Armenia

[edit]

Sorry, but in case you haven't noticed, that page gets vandalized and POVed a lot. I'm just used to that kind of crap and because you weren't logged in, I mistook you for a vandal. I don't see why you're tired of my reverts, if you want to keep the pro Turkic nationalism stuff, that's fine with me. --Khoikhoi 07:21, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, sorry about my rudeness also. --Khoikhoi 07:40, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:ArmSanLazzaro.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. SteinbDJ 19:20, 16 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Cascade Morning.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. azeri POV pusher

[edit]

Hey Milou, I'd like your help in keeping an eye on user baku87. He is from azerbaijan and he recently joined wiki and is now adding baised edits to article, mainly the Military of Armenia article and the Military of azerbaijan article. I hope you will be able to help me with this problem, which I fear will escalate.--Moosh88 23:33, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Help needed

[edit]

Hey Milou, would you be able to help me out by reverting User:-Inanna- on the Adana page? I'm not asking you to get into a dispute, but I was just wondering if you could do me a favor. After that you don't have to revert.

Basically, a bunch of Turkish editors are trying to delete information about the Adana massacre and adding a paragraph about how a large number Turks were killed by Armenians. Of course they haven't cited any neutral sources. --Khoikhoi 08:26, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject: Armenia

[edit]

Hakob and I, decided to make a Wikiproject for Armenia. We hope that you and other Armenian wikipedia editors, will take the time to expand Armenian related articles and create new articles on topics currently without one. Please feel free to share your thoughts on the project and have fun! Here is the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Armenia --Moosh88 01:18, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Pyunik.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Pyunik.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. File permission problem with File:Republic Square, Yerevan, evening.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Republic Square, Yerevan, evening.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 02:17, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Mother Armenia, Yerevan, Day.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Mother Armenia, Yerevan, Day.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:20, 24 December 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 05:20, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
