Request reason:

I did not read the guidelines and was just trying to build a page where people could learn about the company and it's qualifications, but I understand now that this was advertising and would very much appreciate the chance to re-work the page and provide proper links to relevant subjects that we deal with as a company (links to wikis about the contracts we work with). I was using this wiki page as my reference and this once is still intact: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/By_Light - I will change the way ours is so that we don't have any quotes from the CEO or self-referencing material. Thank you and apologies for this.

Request reason:

Simply put, the business exists and I would like it's general info to be on Wikipedia. I don't see how By Light (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/By_Light) is any different, in that it is a business that has a wiki page with general info about itself on there. How is it possible that any private business is on Wikipedia as of right now, if no one is allowed to create a page that mentions their business? I can slim it down to basic info and add hyperlinks to what these government contracts are so that people can be educated on that. I'm sure there are other informative things that could stem from our page as well, that I could implement if given the chance. We are a government contractor, so we don't have an agenda to convince the public to buy a product. The purpose of our wiki would be to simply show the company's presence as an existing entity that deals with certain interesting subjects. No government contractor is going to gain a contract because they are on Wikipedia, that wasn't the purpose of this. I just wanted as much information as possible on the page, but again, I can cut that way back and provide information about relevant subjects and general info about the company. I hope this is acceptable.

You seem to have a common misunderstanding as to what Wikipedia is. Wikipedia is not a forum for businesses to merely tell the world about themselves. This is an encyclopedia, where article subjects must be shown with independent reliable sources to be notable as Wikipedia defines it; for businesses, that is defined at WP:ORG. Wikipedia has little to no interest in what an article subject(be it a person or business) wants to say about itself; Wikipedia is only interested in summarizing what independent sources state. As you still indicate that you want to write about your business, I am declining this request. To be unblocked, you will need to read WP:PROMO, WP:COI, and WP:PAID, as well as indicate what you want to write about other than your business.
