I'm contacting in regards to a profile pic of Vivienne Hu that was uploaded yesterday. I have permission to use this copyright image from the photographer but unfortunately the image was deleted. I'm wondering if I may upload the photo again and what necessary steps are needed to have this image back up on the Vivienne Hu page.

It's not enough if you have permission to use the image. The photographer (or more precisely, the copyright holder) must have released the image under a free license that allows everybody to re-use and modify it for any purpose, including commercial purposes. If the copyright holder is OK with such a release, they can send a confirmation via email to permissions-commons

wikimedia.org. A standard release form can be found at WP:Declaration of consent for all enquiries. It helps if they attach a copy of the image and the name of the file that was deleted (ie File:Vivienne hu.jpeg on the English Wikipedia). Huon (talk) 23:33, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
