Vandalism and autobiography

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Talk:T Power, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 03:33, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, instead of writing it yourself, as you did at Talk:T Power. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you.--Orange Mike | Talk 03:33, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

T.Power stub

[edit]

I deleted all the information about myself that was either false or not warranted to be on the web, ie my place of residence. if theres a problem with me deleting this then please delete the entire t.power stub as I do not wish to have this information about myself floating about on the internet. thank you. We do not remove information or entire articles about people, just because the subjects don't like them. Would you want Mike Weatherley or David Cameron or Rupert Murdoch or Tony Blair getting to pick and choose what is on the Net about them? Wikipedia is not censored. --Orange Mike | Talk 22:29, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
