December 2017[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at History of Oklahoma. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. As I previously advised, we do not add information to the encyclopedia by adding undescribed links to external files. If you'd like to learn how to contribute here, please use the links above. If you'd rather make unfounded assertions of censorship, racism or other misdeeds by other Wikipedia editors, that will be dealt with differently. Thanks. PLEASE DISCONTINUE MY SUBSCRIPTION - Also - It is a shame how you respond to contributors - http://www.okhistory.org/publications/enc/entry.php?entry=ed012 - VIA the Encylcopedia - I am an Edwards. I also see that my Uncle Obadiah has a page. I will speak with our board, so they can act on our behalf. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MrsPalmer1 (talkcontribs) 21:38, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As "an Edwards," you are no more or less subject to the same editing policies and content standards as other editors here. I politely offered you guidance as to how this encyclopedia works and how to contribute to it, and in return you have insulted and now seemingly threatened me (though it's unclear exactly what your threat entails). To cease being an editor here, simply stop visiting the site and/or stop logging in using this username. You are not "subscribed" to anything and we do not have a mechanism to delete user accounts. General Ization Talk 21:45, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

thank - you for responding again. - This is exactly my point - It seems as though you have something against people that have heritage - or lineage. Me stating that I am an Edwards, indicates that I have full authority to act, on behalf of the corporate body, and bring gto the board any issues of publishing our history. Being an incorporated body, indicates, that we as family entity- will make a decision as to whether or not we will continue to utilize this resource, or recommend it for that matter. There are too many alternatives to be treated like back woods trash. We will also make a decision, as to whether or not, we wish to publicize these conversations, as an example of lack of professionalism. It is unfortunate, that Wikepedia, does not have more professional admins, that are unable to take constructive criticism, and provide extraordinary customer service, without detailing potential threats, or racist inuendos. You are correct, we will not longer be using this service, or donating for that matter. Webster serves us better, and the National Encylopedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MrsPalmer1 (talkcontribs) 22:56, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly what constructive criticism have you offered? And how have you been treated like "back woods trash"? As I have explained above, the encyclopedia has documented procedures and standards, to which I directed you, direction which you ignored. At this point, I agree with you that it's best that you find another mechanism to publish your family history. This is an encyclopedia; we do not engage in vanity publishing here, and that seems to be what you have in mind. General Ization Talk 23:02, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
