Page moves

[edit]

Hi there! I saw you moved several plant pages in the past couple days and just wanted to point you to the flora naming convention, which prefers scientific names unless it meets one of the given exceptions. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers, Rkitko (talk) 03:52, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spindotter

Caltha palustris subsp. araneosa is endemic to the Biesbosch and some nearby rivers (Oude Maas, Noord, Hollands Diep), which was stated in the article before you removed it. I think you should undo that change, what's your opinion in this matter? DaMatriX (talk) 18:57, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ik heb je links gelezen en je hebt inderdaad gelijk. Sorry! DaMatriX (talk) 21:34, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Asperger

[edit]

I'm thinking about translating the English-language Wikipedia article Asperger Syndrome into Dutch. Perhaps you'd like to help?

Weet jij trouwens nog een online test voor Asperger ofzo? Aangezien ik soms het vermoeden heb minstens symptomen ervan te vertonen ;) DaMatriX (talk) 18:51, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice

[edit]

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please make sure to include an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 23:49, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bourtange Swamp

[edit]

Please can you add inline references to Bourtange Swamp. Thanks. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 20:30, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, if you don't mind, I renamed the page "Bourtange Moor" because it is commonly referred as this instead of 'swamp' even in English webpages other than Wikipedia. Thanks--GouramiWatcher (Gulp) 21:43, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Walter Süskind, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Limburg (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Science lovers wanted!
Hi! I'm serving as the wikipedian-in-residence at the Smithsonian Institution Archives until June! One of my goals as resident, is to work with Wikipedians and staff to improve content on Wikipedia about people who have collections held in the Archives - most of these are scientists who held roles within the Smithsonian and/or federal government. I thought you might like to participate since you are interested in the sciences! Sign up to participate here and dive into articles needing expansion and creation on our to-do list. Feel free to make a request for images or materials at the request page, and of course, if you share your successes at the outcomes page you will receive the SIA barnstar! Thanks for your interest, and I look forward to your participation! Sarah (talk) 18:57, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Leiopus may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • * ''[[Leiopus linnei]]'' <small>Wallin, 2009</small> <ref>[* Wallin, H., Nylander, U. og Kvamme, T. (2009) Two sibling species of ''Leiopus'' Audinet-Serville,
