Userpage

[edit]

To increase trust all around, I would recommend that you create a userpage which says a bit about you, and your interests? It's not a requirement, but I genuinely think that it would help. Some Babelboxes to indicate language would be useful too. Thanks, Elonka 18:04, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

As another note of advice, please try to avoid edit summaries like this one.[1] Instead, keep your summaries very neutral and civil. Especially avoid naming other editors, or using the words "you" or "your" in an edit summary. If you can keep your own behavior very very civil and article-focused, it will be very helpful in untangling things here. Thanks, Elonka 18:17, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And please don't use the word "vandalism" or "rvv" unless dealing with truly blatant vandalism. See What vandalism is not. And I apologize if it seems like I am overly-criticizing you, but I genuinely want to try and help. There is a certain kind of language that goes with wiki-editing. Those who learn it, have great freedom to edit. Those who do not, and just resort to uncivility, especially when they are making controversial edits, are often ejected from the community. If you could just make some small changes in how you communicate, I think you could be much more successful here. So please, hear my advice. I am really trying to help. Please stay very polite, please make a user page, please don't use the word "vandalism". Thanks, Elonka 00:00, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppetry

[edit]

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Klaksonn for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. MezzoMezzo (talk) 05:46, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edits

[edit]

Your edit at Ghaleb Awwali is okay, because I agree that there is no source for that particular category. But at Imad Mughniyah, you appear to be removing a category that is thoroughly sourced within the text of the article. At 'Amr ibn al-'As, I have no opinion on the content, but I must ask you to (1) Stop referring to other edits as vandalism; and (2) You must engage in discussion at the talkpage there. Re: Me

[edit]

Hello. FayssalF, please tell me what I did wrong. Apart from my temper and my comments, which were provoked by MezzoMezzo and Causteau's incivility as you might have seen in the edit summaries, I didn't vandalize nor did I impose my POV. I did, earlier, in the Al-Azhar University article, mention that Saladin converted Egyptians by force because I thought this was the case, then I found that they converted without any uproar and I added a direct quote from Encyclopedia Britannica which Costeau repeatedly removed. I also added a sourced passage to Amr ibn al As which was removed sometime ago and was repeatedly reverted by MezzoMezzo until he was told to cease, and I removed the terrorist categories in the articles of Hezbollah members, some of whom had never carried a gun. Tell me if I did anything wrong that MezzoMezzo and Causteau didn't do. I haven't been causing disruption, unlike the two users who are imposing their opinions on the articles. Hi NAccount. I have received your email to which I have just responded. I've also cross-posted parts of my response here. I hope that answers questions of everyone. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up® 08:39, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
