If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nasim Basiri requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Jinkinson talk to me 20:02, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This page cannot be deleted just because the user name is similar to the subject of the article , I am a fan of Nasim Basiri and her works , so I decided to start her article — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nasimbasiri (talkcontribs)

Welcome

[edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! I wanted to let you know that I declined the speedy deletion request, so your article is still in the encyclopedia and available for editing. However I did notice your username is pretty close to the name of the subject. In general, we discourage writing autobiographies. However I would be happy to help you with the article if I can help in any way I can. Does Nasim Basiri have a teaching or research position? Has she won any major awards or been mentioned in any press accounts? Hundreds of articles and books is a lot, are there any critical or major publications which are worth mentioning? Thanks for the interest in the project, and let me know if I can help with anything. (You can either contact me on my talk page User talk:TeaDrinker or just write a message below this one.) --TeaDrinker (talk) 01:04, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you're not Basiri, then your username is problematic because it's confusing and makes people think you are Basiri. That goes against our username policy. You may want to think about changing your username to avoid that problem. —C.Fred (talk) 22:47, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Nasim Basiri (December 7)

[edit]
Thank you for your recent submission to Articles for Creation. Your article submission has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. Please view your submission to see the comments left by the reviewer. You are welcome to edit the submission to address the issues raised, and resubmit if you feel they have been resolved.

The article Nasim Basiri has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Biography of a Living Person that is essentially unsourced -- the only citations are to mentions and bylines. No significant coverage in reliable sources has been cited nor has any been found.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello Nasimbasiri. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Nasim Basiri".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Nasim Basiri}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 10:47, 5 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
