Edits to pap test

[edit]

Hi NastywomanMD, it's me, Elysia! I just wanted to let you know that I had to remove your addition to pap test for technical reasons. The original text (Those with a history of endometrial cancer should discontinue routine Pap tests) is cited to this website that says "Don’t perform Pap tests for surveillance of women with a history of endometrial cancer." When you added content to the sentence without adding additional citations, the reader will assume that everything in the sentence is supported by the citation at the end of it. In this case, however, the citation does not support anything about discontinuing pap tests only if these patients have undergone hysterectomies.

Part of "verifiability not truth" means always adding citations to reliable sources when you add or change content, even if you know the original text to be inaccurate! Please feel free to add the content back in--just make sure you add a source as well. Thanks, Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:45, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Elysia @Elysia (Wiki Ed):. I thought it implied that since it says "top of the vagina", which means there is no uterus and cervix, but I will find a source that outlines it more clearly. Thanks for the feedback. NastywomanMD (talk) 18:55, 25 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
