Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to I Know Him So Well may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Disambiguation link notification for August 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited I Know Him So Well, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Whitney (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Record reviews[edit]

Please stop adding verbatim record reviews, with poorly formatted citations. If necessary, you should simply provided a properly formatted link to the review, rather than repeating it in the article. Ghmyrtle (talk) 10:51, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for replying. Sorry if I sounded a little harsh - I'd just seen this edit, where you added a review about Cher's version of "Hey Joe" - a song that has been recorded by a very great many musicians - to the article lead, without any explanation; and used a bare URL in the reference, which you shouldn't do. So, lesson 1 is to make sure that, if you need to add a review, you add it to the right section of the article; and lesson 2 is to use a proper citation style, rather than using bare URLs. Lesson 3 is to consider whether articles actually need verbatim copies of song reviews to the extent that you seem to be suggesting. You could, for instance, simply provide a link to the review in the infobox, without copying the text itself into the article. Sometimes it may be appropriate, but often it isn't. Look at other articles about songs, and see how often copy-and-pasted reviews are included - usually, not very much if at all. Ghmyrtle (talk) 13:32, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
PS: And please remember to sign your messages using four of these: ~ Thanks! Ghmyrtle (talk) 14:05, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
