BNP/NF election results[edit]

The pages British National Front election results and British National Party election results were deleted last summer. As someone who contributed to one or both of those pages, I thought you might be interested in supporting their recreation. The grounds for deletion were that they were unreferenced (correct, but easily put right); they were unencyclopaedic (??? - no reasons given) and that they violated BLP policy (ridiculous, but which, by implication, means that any page that names an election candidate should be deleted). The deletion debate is at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/British National Party election results. No contributors to the pages were consulted.

I asked the admin who deleted the pages to reconsider, but he refused. I have belatedly requested a Deletion Review (see Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2009 February 1) to which you may wish to contribute. I eventually managed to obtain copies of the deleted articles and have now referenced the entire content. NowCommons: File:16th Jan 004b.JPG[edit]

File:16th Jan 004b.JPG is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Mary Slessor.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Mary Slessor.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. Just a thought - might this not be better at "Saint-Étienne de Lille"? Saying "Église Saint-Étienne de Lille" is like saying "Church of Saint-Étienne de Lille" - I think it's a bit redundant. No content in Category:Roman roads in Egypt[edit]

a tip[edit]

In my patrolling of translation-related templates, I saw that you do a lot of translations from other wikis into English. Whenever you notice articles in need of translation I would encourage you to apply the tags {{Expand French}}, {{Expand Italian}}, etc, as this places them into translation cleanup categories and alerts other editors of the need for translation. Ambassadors[edit]

You appear to be doing good work in creating British ambassador categories (though I have not followed it all). However, the list articles should remain in "list" categories both for sending country and receiving country. I therefore undid the deletion of a category from British mabasadors to Ottoman Empire. In many cases lists are rundundant when a category exists and all redlinks in the list have been removed by creating articles. In this case, the list still adds something, because it presents the ambassadors in date order. In addition, many lists remain incomplete, usually at the beginning (earliest).
