There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Mandatory paid editing disclosure

[edit]
Information icon

Hello NewMoonGuy. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Dreams Now Reality, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:NewMoonGuy. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=NewMoonGuy|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. ~Anachronist (talk) 19:44, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Note that the Wikipedia community considers you a paid editor even if the subjects you're writing about aren't paying you specifically to edit Wikipedia but they're still paying you for other reasons. Make your disclosure accordingly. ~Anachronist (talk) 19:55, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Mr. Anachronist,
I am not a paid editor or anything similar, I am just a fan of this band, which I have been following for years, and I simply reported the information about an upcoming concept album. As you can see, there is no link or reference for profit purposes, just details about the concept. Thanks for your understanding. NewMoonGuy (talk) 11:20, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for replying. I left that notice above because this band is almost your sole focus on Wikipedia, and you have a tendency to write prose in a promotional tone, giving a strong impression that you are acting as a publicity agent, or at the least you have some sort of conflict of interest. See also WP:CRYSTAL - we generally don't write about things that may happen in the future unless there is multiple coverage by reliable sources that are independent of the topic. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:16, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
