Thanks for uploading Image:Debsocnewlogo.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Debsocnewlogo.JPG. The copy called Image:Debsocnewlogo.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 01:47, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Easterscups2007.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Easterscups2007.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 03:06, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Joyntawards.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Joyntawards.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

A tag has been placed on List of New Zealand debaters, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Joynt Scroll

[edit]

Hi, Thanks for creating the article Joynt Scroll (New Zealand Universities' Prepared Debating Championships) . Including alternate names in article titles is discouraged, since it makes it harder to locate articles as well as looking ungainly. As a result, I have moved the article to Joynt Scroll (which automatically creates a redirect at the original title and transfers all the history. I also created a redirect at New Zealand Universities' Prepared Debating Championships, so users will be able to find the article no matter which name they use. dramatic (talk) 22:34, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Debsocnewlogo.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Debsocnewlogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.
  • To opt out of these bot messages, add {{bots|deny=DASHBot}} to your talk page.

Thank you. DASHBot (talk) 03:11, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article New Zealand British Parliamentary Open Debating Championships has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Un referenced since January 2008, unable to find any sources to backup the detail in the article so fails WP:V.

Fails WP:ORG as it does not appear to be written about by anyone or anything other than very specialist debating blogs, this is after all a university debating club competition.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Codf1977 (talk) 12:44, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
