Time cover in TM article

Hi, Nima. Thanks for adding the Time cover to the Maharishi and TM articles. I ended up deleting it from the TM article. Even though Maharishi originated TM, many people who practice TM don't know anything about him and may not even be able to say where TM comes from. So I'm not sure that it's that relevant to the article.

This whole thing of image licensing is so confusing. You did a good job of specifying fair use for that cover.

This morning I uploaded my first image. To the John Hagelin article. At first I specified a use that made the image a candidate for speedy deletion. Then I went back and made it GNU. I was just picking something, not really knowing what I was doing. Then I saw that the template specifies that I'm the creator, which I'm not. But it's a publicity photo -- on that's made freely available to the media for free use by Hagelin's Institute. I wonder what license that would be.

Besides Maharishi-related articles, I've also been editing articles related to Cave painting. Four really nice Lascaux photos were deleted a couple days ago, leaving almost no cave painting images on Wikipedia. The licensing says that reproductions of paintings over 100 years old are allowed. These paintings are over 15,000 years old! But is a photograph considered a reproduction of a painting? Thanks for any advice you can give. TimidGuy 11:33, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
