Hi, I would like to make the following the changes to the page of the author Amal Ghandour, I am only adding further details about her. Everytime I make the edits, they get removed. I do not understand what I am doing wrong, as I added the source as mentioned. Please make the following edits on my behalf if possible:
I would like the page to read:
"Lebanese-Jordanian author and blogger Amal Ghandour (Thinking Fits) has worked in the domains of research, communication, and community development for more than three decades. Her 2009 book, About This Man Called Ali, was hailed by acclaimed historian Philip Mansel as the first biography of a contemporary Arab artist.
This Arab Life, she adds, “is an intimate rendition of the times that shaped us; the way we internalized our parents’ myriad dejections and disappointments; the pragmatism and silence that defined us; and the dispiriting inheritance we inexorably bequeathed our own children.”
Ghandour joined Ruwwad al Tanmeyah, a regional community development program, as Senior Advisor in 2009. She serves on the boards of directors for Ruwwad in Palestine and Lebanon, the International College (IC) board of trustees, and the Synaps board of directors. She also served on the Board of Directors of The Arab Human Rights Fund and as Special Advisor to the Middle East Global Centers at Columbia University from 2014 to 2017. (2011-2014).
Ghandour graduated from Georgetown University with a BSFS and Stanford University with an MS in International Policy.
Aeon, The Daily Beast, Washington Independent Review of Books, Midanmasr, and Canvas are just a few of her publications." Nourlyna 98 (talk) 08:33, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why did it indicate copyright violations while the information provided wasn't identical to the one at https://amalghandour.com/about-amal-ghandour/ and it had the following copyrights note: The text and images of this website is released under the Creative Commons Zero Waiver 1.0 (CC0) Nourlyna 98 (talk) 12:09, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Thank you so much for explaining that to me, I am doing this as a volunteer, I am not getting paid for it. I would like to add more details about the author, I will disclose that I know the author. What sources should I add to be able to publish the changes I want to make? Nourlyna 98 (talk) 07:52, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Nourlyna 98: Ideally, for reliable sources, secondary sources that are independent of the subject, but primary sources, such as the one you provided earlier, can be used, as long as it’s not a direct copy of the information copied onto the Wikipedia page (copyright violation) and as long as the information is not being used for illegitimate purposes (such as advertising and promotion), as those are contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.
