Notability of Sous Chef, LLP

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Sous Chef, LLP requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Alabama Moon (talk) 20:06, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image source problem with Image:Sous Chef.jpg

[edit]
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Sous Chef.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:15, 2 November 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Alabama Moon (talk) 21:15, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading Image:Sous Chef.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Alabama Moon (talk) 21:15, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I checked out the source and they clearly state that images are to be used for non commercial use only which means that we cannot use them. I have therefore deleted the image. Theresa Knott | token threats 21:32, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Have you read all the notes on this page explaining why the article was going to be deleted? If and when the company gets the capital it needs, an then gets reasonable press coverage then we can have an article, not before. Theresa Knott | token threats 21:56, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Advertisement?

[edit]

I'd highly recommend you not repost it - I saw it had been deleted multiple times already today. As for advertising, I'd recommend you look though our guidelines on the subject, as the content of the article was far from neutrally presented. Usually using first-person pronouns such as we is a red flag when we review articles as well - it shows you have a conflict of interest which could lead you to add a bias to the article, even if you don't intend to. If you feel your company is notable enough to be included, I'd recommend you request an article for it instead of writing one yourself. Let me know if you have any more questions.
