I've noticed that we keep reverting each others posts regards " a new meaning to world of magic" . I've been removing it because "A" its a point of view and "B" its not true. As a magician I can tell you that nothing Criss does is new to magic. Even his goth-like look is not new. It may be new to you but not to the world of magic. Mindfreak has definitly raised the popularity of magic that is for sure. We can keep removing each others posts but I have a better idea. Why not choose a line we can both agree on... "New Meaning" is so vauge. How about something like ..." Mindfreak Illusions have brought a modern ( or new ) look to the world of magic" On the other hand if you can explain " New meaning" better then maybe myself and others will understand it better and leave it.

Something that works is much better than each of us seeing who will give up editing each others posts first..don't you agree?

Timothy Drake

Hello, Ocd20 AND Timothy. I've been involved with the editing of the Criss Angel Mindfreak article as well. I must disagree with you both in one specific topic - the "modern look" to the world of magic. I see what your intention is (and it is good), but the text in Wikipedia must be an encyclopedic text. In that sense, it must be backed by facts - and the facts must be backed by sources, which must be neutral. Timothy mentioned that "new meaning" is vague; but so is "a modern look to the world of magic". We cannot be generic in an article in Wikipedia. And think about it: Criss Angel has not been revolutionary (as you said it yourself) and not really that widespread with as much influence as, let's say, David Copperfield in the 80's. Criss is mostly known in the Paid / Cable TV community and that's it.

I understand that you want to set him apart from the others. I point you to the text that was already added before (not by me): "unusual stunts and street magic...". It's an excellent example of an encyclpedic way of showing what's different about him.

To Ocd20: You are doing a good job of tracking the Seasons and episodes, but the text is either straight out of A&E's website or completely written as a fan would do it. Please: summarize the contents of the episodes in a neutral, encyclopedic way. "Criss loves animals - and loves to amaze us with his incredible animal illusions." --> This is just NOT what has to get into an encyclopedia.

Thank you for your time.

Please do not recreate previously deleted content. Specifically, Image:Mindfreak-season2.jpg has been deleted because it lacks requisite source and copyright information. In order to be used on Wikipedia, this image must have (1) the source - where did you download it, (2) a relevant image tag that tells the copyright status, for example, {{movieposter}} if that is what this is, and (3) a fair use rationale explaining how the image is being used.

If the image is uploaded without these components, it will be deleted. Please see WP:IUP and WP:FAIR for Wikipedia's relevant policies. Thank you. --BigDT (416) 19:42, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me? Why did you leave the message "Don't touch the Criss Angel board" on my talk page? I did not do anything wrong- I only edited several red links, and several grammatical errors. Wikipedia is all about editing, and therefore I edited. -Fall Of Darkness 20:49, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Criss Angel Mindfreak article[edit]

Hi, I wanted to come to you first over this... but why are you undoing and reverting any changes that are made to this article? I'd understand if it was to revert vandalism, but I have not vandalised the article at all. Your article is completely unsourced and therefore I added sources where necessary. What possible reason could you have for undoing that? Also, I changed the red link "Criss" to link to the actual wiki page of Criss Angel- why would you unlink that? There is no reason to have a "Criss" page, when a "Criss Angel" page already exists, and that is who you are referring to in your link. Please get back to me on this, because this edit war is ridiculous. -Fall Of Darkness 17:43, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for updating the airing date for Mindfreak- however I am wondering why you would delete the reference section?? Also, you updated the air date, but did not reference this latest information on the Mindfreak page. BTW- Please sign your posts on the talk page. -Fall Of Darkness 01:47, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
p.s. I posted a comment on the discussion page of the Mindfreak article, about the article, that was geared towards you, I'm not sure if you have seen it yet- but you can find it [1]. -Fall Of Darkness 02:00, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Criss Angel Mindfreak. Unspecified source for Image:MIndfreak.Jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MIndfreak.Jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:51, 23 December 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih (talk) 03:51, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Criss Angel Mindfreak season 4.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Criss Angel Mindfreak season 4.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Tom (talk - email) 22:46, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Misuse of undo[edit]

Re this use of the Undo. Do not use the given edit summary when you are undoing edits other than vandalism. Now, why did you undo the edit that fixed typos (a hour, straight jacket -- see straitjacket) on this page? -- JHunterJ (talk) 14:36, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
