Hello, Oculi,
I shouldn't have to remind you that this notices state Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. You should never remove CSD notices from pages that you created, even empty category pages. There are editors who scan the emtpy categories category and untag categories when they are no longer empty. Do not worry that the category will be deleted if it is no longer empty. But please, do not remove either CSD or XFD tags from pages you created. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:04, 24 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Augustus Barrows[edit]

Please do not incorrectly add him to the category of Democratic members of the Assembly. Barrows never served in the Assembly as a Democrat. His one and only term was as a Greenbacker. He ran as a Democrat, but never served in the Assembly other than as a Greenbacker. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:13, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Noted. I will watch out for Greenbackers. Oculi (talk) 20:31, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There were periods when party lines were a lot more fluid. I seem to recall that least one Wisconsin legislator ran for office under five party labels and served under two of them. If Norbie Nordenheim ran as a Socialist, a Progressive and a Republican, but was only elected as a Progressive, then he goes in the categories for "Progressives in the Wisconsin Assembly", "Wisconsin socialists" and "Wisconsin Republicans". --Orange Mike | Talk 00:33, 24 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
True. I had excluded people categorised as both Rep and Dem from my list but it does as you say get quite complicated. There is a related cfd going on at which you might like to opine. 2022 November 20#Democrats and Republicans. Oculi (talk) 01:08, 24 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request[edit]

Thank you for your correct nomination of Virginia state senator stubs, but as you may have noticed there are several more like it listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Stub types/Government, law, and politics#North American politicians. – Fayenatic London 13:42, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
