apologies and advice

I removed the speedy tag--it should never have been placed. That someone is a professor at the Sorbonne is at the very least a claim to importance, and his publications & the other material there is clearly sufficient to meet the higher standard of WP:PROF. I apologize on behalf of WP, but people make errors. .

But the article needs considerable work. First of all, make sure nothing is copied, translated, or closely paraphrased from any previously published source, including his own website. Second, an encyclopedia article is not a CV, so if a person has written books, we normally do not include less substantial contributions unless they are of particular significance. As for the books, there should be links to all published reviews, which also establishes his notability under WP:CREATIVE. You probably have these links at hand, so please add them. it also needs some basic biography: place and date of birth, place and date of degrees, previous positions. Again, you probably have this, so add it. It should if possible be referenced to his official web page. I'll do some miscellaneous editing for our format.
