Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. I notice that you have been adding links to a film review site to some of Wikipedia's articles. As these have no particular relation to the article and are not citations, I have removed them. They appear to have been inserted in order to promote the review site, and this is not allowed. I apologise if I am mistaken but this is what it looks like. Millstream3 (talk) 16:04, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Deep vein thrombosis do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 20:03, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Overclocking. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1][2][3][4] MrOllie (talk) 16:14, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Drchriswilliams. I really appreciate the education. I'll read over the guidelines again to further understand what can be posted. Take care. Omansur (talk) 17:43, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
