Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Người Việt phải không ?[edit]

Nếu là người Việt thì hãy nói tiếng Việt vì tôi kém tiếng Anh. 27.3.1.69 (talk) 21:55, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

So what do you want to talk about? Otomo Ajah (talk) 17:41, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest you don't delete our edits to the East Asian cultural sphere post. How many edits without citations still exist.
Sorry for our work, this issue is extremely complicated. Indeed, the classification of Vietnam in the Sinosphere is a controversy. 27.3.1.50 (talk) 23:05, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
But you need citations. Who has said this? Provide a link. If you can't, this should be deleted. Bathrobe (talk) 02:42, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Could the source be in Vietnamese? 186.234.124.127 (talk) 03:37, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You must ensure that your Vietnamese citations are reputable specialized documents on that field Otomo Ajah (talk) 04:22, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add photos of Buddhist temples without articles[edit]

Every temple listed in List of Buddhist temples in the United States must have a Wikipedia article. There is no Nebraska section because there are no articles about temples in Nebraska. Please do not add photos of temples for which no article has been written. Also, please do not put photos under the wrong state heading. If you think the temple is notable enough to have sufficient reliable sources, then write the article first. Wikipedia is not here to help you promote your temple. Thank you. Could use your expertise to correct Vietnamese Americans page edit[edit]

I'm reviewing some changes made by an IP address, who has made several disruptive changes in the last few months. And I cannot just undo a change that I believe is disruptive, to the Vietnamese Americans, because other changes have been made since - including one from you today. Since you seem to be very knowledgeable on this topic, can you confirm to me that this person's edit needs to be undone? I'm fairly sure, based on the edit that was made right before, but it would take a lot of original research from me to verify it. I appreciate any help you can offer. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Vietnamese_Americans&diff=1182714517&oldid=1179613743 CleverTitania (talk) 21:56, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I sincerely apologize, because I am not very knowledgeable about areas with a large Vietnamese population in the United States. Maybe editor @Donald Trung can help you with this, apparently he is a Vietnamese residing in the United States Otomo Ajah (talk) 04:28, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please be more reasonable and less obsessed[edit]

Before you revert my change at Trấn Quốc Pagoda, it's worth checking the status of the image. "beautiful" is not the only criteria for a leading image of an article. A good example would be Thầy Temple, see it for yourself. That beautiful image that you picked was deleted due to copyright violation, leaving behind an ugly red link. If you want to see the article Trấn Quốc Pagoda, in a few more days, to have an ugly red link at the place of the image due to the file being deleted, then go ahead and keep being stubborn. Regarding One Pillar Pagoda, the new image has a higher resolution and a wider view, while the old one has a watermark at its right corner, which is why I chose the new. Still, you chose to revert that, and to my impression, the only reason that would explain that is again, the stubbornness, as I cannot think of any better (though I tried my best to assume good faith). ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:37, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet[edit]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Taolabomay per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Taolabomay. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
