Adoption
[edit]Hey,
I would be glad to adopt you, although I have little prior experience with the process (about two years ago I adopted another user, but neither of us were very active with each other and so I didn't learn much from the experience). If you have anything specific in mind, please let me know. What is your class project about? With that in mind, what are you hoping to do as an editor on Wikipedia? Without overwhelming you, I think the best way to go about this is to set up tangible objectives and for me to aid you in your completion of said objectives.
In any case, it is a pleasure meeting you, and I hope to help you as much as I can! JonCatalán(Talk) 07:28, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
- What topic you'd like to start with is up to you. Is there any topic you like, especially? Is there any article you see missing from the encyclopedia that you would like to work on? I would suggest a relatively uncontroversial topic, or an unknown topic, as those are the topics which will most likely allow you to edit the article without too much distraction by others. Also, if you want to go little by little, I suggest making a subpage on your userpage to write the article, before you actually add it to the encyclopedia itself (e.g. User:Papita Naranja/sandbox). - Hi! thanks for the advice :-D I'll start looking around WP for something that has not been written about. First of all just to clear things out and not having any misunderstanting whatosoever, I already thanked user "Paste" but I'm sticking to your mentoring. What happened is that I left "Paste" a message for adoption but right after, I saw a message from admin. asking whether its status for adopting was updated or not. So I thought maybe he was not available and moved on looking for another mentor. That's where you came in. Thank you very much.
- On the other hand I would like to share something with you. Before that business project I've been assigned with a new task due 5 November. It is about the Bicentennial Festivities and Facts. It is a team work so there will be three of us editing (actually creating)the "El Grito" tab Celebration of Mexican political anniversaries in 2010. I would truly appreciate if you could assit me on this. We'll be starting this weekend. Thanks againg! :-D Best regards. Papita Naranja (talk) 19:25, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

- I too got your message about adoption and I'm happy to help. I have had three adoptees in the recent past but as JonCatalán was here first I would not want to tread on his toes. Do contact me again if you wish to proceed. Paste Let’s have a chat. 08:49, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

APA sources!
[edit]Hiii! how are you?! hope you're fine :D
I was wondering if we could use informatiom from the history text books from the elementary schools? The information is not complicated and it is easy to understand or do we need information from very specific resources?
Greetings!

- Hi! I think that'd be great, guess there won't be any problem as they are offical sources, printed with official information.Dpo you still have them? If you do, please bring them and the bibliography cited as well. See you! :-D

El Tepeyac National Park
[edit]Hey,
Awesome topic! I had to go out, but I was going to suggesting adding a source or two, so that they didn't delete the article. I went ahead and also started the talk page (added the Wikipedia:WikiProject Mexico banner). Before I can really suggest anything, though, it would probably be useful to know what your project is about, and what your objectives are. I tend to focus on heavy "article building", which means working on them to such an extent that they become featured material, and I'm not sure if that's something you guys are interested in, or your objectives are more modest. So, if you could give me some information on what the project is about, I'm sure I can tailor my advice to fit what you need.
Also, if you need any help with a specific task, do not hesitate to ask. :) JonCatalán(Talk) 02:07, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
