Information icon Hi Paulmiki22! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Information icon Hello, I'm Tacyarg. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Portsmouth Grammar School, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 21:26, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. It appears most of your edits have been from copying and pasting material you found on the internet. We cannot accept such material because it breaches the copyright of the original author or institution. It also is usually written in a manner unsuitable for an encyclopedia, e.g. it is promotional. See the links above for help on our policies about copyrighted material. I have reverted many of your edits. If you add any more such material, you will be blocked from editing.-gadfium 20:56, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without evidence of permission. Please take this opportunity to ensure that you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text at the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.   — Diannaa (talk) 13:18, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Copyright means the permission give to someone or an organisation to reproduce a material, video or photographic content.
Most of Wikipedia's text and many of its images are co-licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License (CC BY-SA) and the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) (unversioned, with no invariant sections, front-cover texts, or back-cover texts).
Copyrighted content are not allowed on Wikipedia because The Wikimedia Foundation does not own copyright on Wikipedia article texts or illustrations.
It is only permissable to use limited portion of a work not by copying and pasting. It should have regards of referencing the source material.
After critically studying the Wikipedia copyright policy, i intend to avoid copying materials from other sources, creating more original contents and making adequate use of referencing materials.
With the reasons above, I request Diannaa to unblock me and with a solemn declaration that anything I go against the community rules, I should be removed from the Wikipedia community. Paulmiki22 (talk) 09:44, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yamla, I have observed that you are one of the racist being very unfair on this Wikipedia Community, I have gone through some for the unfair decisions you have particularly taken against black Africans, Diannaa was very fair in her judgement, see requested I study and understand the Community policy on copyright before I could be unblocked.
I further made my research and responded. Yamla who is a racist has now come to give a negative decision. Kindly avoid racism in the Community so as to help it grow Yamla. Paulmiki22 (talk) 13:25, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Many thanks Diannaa for constantly working to make sure the community remains free from violation of copyright, I wish to clearly tell you that I have taken my time to study the copyright policy, having now understood it, I will never go against any of the community policy again. I request that you kindly unblock me so I can continue to make my contribution to the Wikipedia community. Thanks greatly in anticipation. Paulmiki22 (talk) 05:49, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your answers above show you do not understand WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:FAIRUSE. Therefore, we cannot unblock you at this time. Yamla (talk) 11:35, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

In order to lift the block, we need to be certain that you understand how copyright works on Wikipedia. Please respond to the following questions, explaining in your own words:

  • What is copyright?
  • How is Wikipedia licenced?
  • Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia?
  • Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content?
  • How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future?

Your answers will enable us to establish whether or not you should be unblocked. — Diannaa (talk) 12:46, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
