Hi I didn’t intend to make an edit with fake information my reason for changing the name was
I was watching a true program regarding the case
and at the end of the program where they say what happened in the end it had Sarah knight as the victim of attempted murder so when I seen that the name on wiki was different I thought I’d correct it
I had no intention of editing it with fake information
if I have it wasn’t meant 2A00:23C7:EA05:7C01:A1AF:E68D:F871:71DF (talk) 14:57, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thanks for your reply. If you look at the Levi Bellfield article, you'll see that other editors have included reliable sources which confirm the victim's name. On Wikipedia it's very important to provide a reliable source when you add content, especially when you're adding or changing information about living people. If you think that you've found a reliable source that gives a different name to the one included on Wikipedia, it's a good idea to read the sources already given in the article. Then, if you still think there's an issue, you could start a conversation about it on the article talk page and provide your sources there, so that other editors can discuss it with you (on the talk page) and agree what to do. The welcome message that I'm going to add below this one links to Wikipedia's guidelines for editors. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Happy editing! IndigoBeach (talk) 17:53, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi thank you for explaining the process I have never edited wiki before so I wasn’t aware of having to post source info
if I ever edit anything again I’ll make sure to do some research first
my apologies 2A00:23C7:EA05:7C01:A1AF:E68D:F871:71DF (talk) 18:08, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
