Citing sources[edit]

Hi, PenPalFL2CT, and welcome to Wikipedia. I saw some of your edits in which you improperly attempted to cite your sources. You cited your sources simply by typing a link enclosed in brackets like this [example.com] which is incorrect. At its very simplest, you should cite sources by surrounding the link in <ref> tags, like this: <ref>example.com</ref>. By doing this, the reference is automatically listed at the bottom in the reflist. While this is better, we typically want to expand out references instead of just having a bare link, which is susceptible to link rot. If you need more help citing your sources, I highly recommend checking out the Beginner's guide. If you have questions, just leave it at the Teahouse or simply ask me, I'm happy to help. Have a nice day. Thanks, EDG 543 (message me) 20:51, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

CannaMD moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, CannaMD, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Information icon Hello, PenPalFL2CT, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as McKenzieLewis (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. GPL93 (talk) 13:52, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

GPL93 These are both my accounts, yes. I am brand new to Wikipedia and trying to post this page for a college class project. Because I chose my first username as one that mimicked the title of the page (without realizing this was a violation), I thought that I might need to create a different username and post there instead. I'm not associated with this company, I'm just trying to get this listed and can't figure out what possible part of the article is "promotional" considering all of the sources are legitimate, most are from third parties, and all reliable. I am confused by what Wikipedia is looking for and I don't know how to proceed from here. All I know is that I spent quite some time putting this article together and it keeps getting removed but I have no details as to why that is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PenPalFL2CT (talkcontribs) 14:37, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

May 2021[edit]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
